.NET Skills
The dotnet/skills repository, curated Agent Skills and plugins from the .NET team for better C# and .NET assistance in coding agents.
dotnet/skills is the .NET team’s public repository of LLM skills and custom agents aimed at writing and maintaining .NET and C# code. Skills follow the open Agent Skills standard, so the same material can be consumed by Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, Cursor, and other compatible hosts. The repo also publishes a live dashboard covering token use, elapsed time, activation, and not-passed rates for the bundled plugins.
Use it when you want opinionated, .NET-specific playbooks (data access, ASP.NET Core, tests, upgrades, and more) without authoring every SKILL.md yourself.
What’s in the marketplace
The repo is organized as plugins, each bundling multiple skills. Highlights (see the README for the full list and paths):

Installation (Claude Code / Copilot CLI)
From the official install steps:
In Claude Code or Copilot CLI, add the marketplace:
/plugin marketplace add dotnet/skillsInstall a plugin (replace the name with the plugin you need):
/plugin install <plugin>@dotnet-agent-skillsBrowse what you have:
/skillsClaude Code v2.1.198 and later no longer opens the old agent library from
/agents; ask Claude to list or manage the installed agent definitions
instead.
Update when needed:
/plugin update <plugin>@dotnet-agent-skillsInstallation (Cursor)
Cursor’s plugin marketplace can list this repo’s published plugins. Typical flow: open the marketplace in Cursor, search for .NET (or browse cursor.com/marketplace), and install the plugins you want.
For a local checkout of the GitHub repo (unpublished or forked work), the upstream docs suggest copying or symlinking it to ~/.cursor/plugins/local/dotnet-agent-skills, then Developer: Reload Window (or restart Cursor). Adjust if your Cursor version uses a different local-plugins path; check Cursor → Settings and the current plugins documentation.
